It is my honor and privilege to have had Dr. Amir Moldovan, MD as my Rheumatologist for more than 4 years. I was having exceptionally painful challenges with gout. It was greatly affecting my lifestyle and my attitude. Fortunately, I was referred to Dr. Moldovan who provided the finest, most thorough, compassionate and outstanding professional care I have ever encountered. He is an excellent physician who truly embraces and practices patient centered medicine. In my case, he conducted thorough examinations while obviously being mindful of my physical and emotional pain. Not only did he bring his outstanding clinical skills to bear, he completely understood my viewpoints and feelings regarding my condition and clearly explained what was happening and what we needed to do. His thorough testing and clinical analysis of results culminated in his prescribing appropriate medications along with recommendations for diet and exercise. He clearly explained all of the medications and described the expectations I should anticipate with this condition. While under Dr. Moldovan’s care, my condition has improved, my lifestyle has vastly improved and my mental and physical condition has been vastly enhanced. I am now able to better manage my lifestyle so that my condition no longer controls what I do or how I feel. All of this is patently due to Dr. Moldovan’s outstanding knowledge, skills, professionalism, and attention to his patients’ needs, caring attitude and phenomenal communication skills. I can say without reservation that he is genuinely interested in and dedicated to helping his patients. Some of my friends and colleagues have asked if I know a “good Rheumatologist” … I have consistently replied, “No, I do not … I know an outstanding Rheumatologist – Dr. Amir Moldovan”.

Among the care providers that I have had over the years, he holds a unique status. He is at the top of my list of current and past physicians who I have absolutely no negative comments about.
Dr. Moldovan breaks the medical doctor stereotype. First, he values punctuality when he schedules and sees patients. If the patient arrives for the appointment on time, then they need not pick up a waiting room magazine because they won’t get past the first few pages before being called in. I call him the“No-wait-Doctor.”
Dr. Moldovan makes a solid, good impression when you visit. That is because he is knowledgeable, professional, and most importantly, he is personable. He has a lasting, positive attitude when speaking with patients. It is obvious that he enjoys what he does and can provide excellent advice and treatment for his patients.
His medical competency is quite obvious, his communication skills are light years ahead of his peers, and he possesses a demeanor that makes you thankful that he is your doctor.
I give Dr. Moldovan a five star rating for being open minded to a patient’s input on his or her issues and medical treatment. He will listen to your opinions, suggestions, and address them all in a manner consistent with your understanding of the medical issue.
I have visited numerous physicians in my life time for routine and specialty care. I can think of none that I would recommend more highly than Dr. Moldovan.

As I think back to when I first came to you several years ago with severe RA, I recall the extreme pain I was in and how limited my life had become. Some of the things I enjoyed doing in life such as bowling, darts, pool, and fishing were unbearable because the pain limited my mobility.
